Proud to be 50  -  Trucks 1964-1982

Thanks to the acquisition of Thies Transport (Assen Holland) in 1977 and the opening of the branch office in Neer (Holland) in 1980, already in 1982 the 100th Volvo was added to the fleet.

In the galleries below you will find a selection from the best photos of these first 100 trucks .... They are divided into various topics.

Hoogstraat Erp

The late 60s of the last century, the company is located on the High Street in Erp. The first trucks Ad van den Bosch took over from his father Piet, but soon he bought his own Volvo trucks (F86 , F88).

Logo and lettering

Over the years the logo / lettering on the trucks regularly changed, as seen in these photos.

The Volvo F86  with number 8 has the original logo on the door that says "Ad vd Bosch Transport". The Volvo F88 has no logo, only the text "A. vd Bosch Transporten Erp".
Somewhat later in time the "A" disappeared  and it was simply "v.d. Bosch Transporten Erp" as seen on the F86 with number 21.

On each photo you will find the name of the photographer or the origin. If you think the listing is incorrect or that a photo should not be placed, please feel free to contact us.
